St. Anne's Rose Festival 2008

Rose Garden, St Anne’s Park, Raheny, July 19th & 20th 2008

An image of the Rose Festival Logo

Situated in the historic St. Anne’s Park , the Rose Garden is one of the finest of its kind in Europe. The 6-hectare oval garden has more than 25,000 rose plants, with a special section reserved for the prestigious International Rose Trials. Dublin is one of the few cities which hold trials with the newest unnamed varieties of roses, judged by a jury of local and international rose experts each year. This year sees the 28th anniversary of the Rose Trials.

The Festival will be open each day from 10:30am until 18:00 with both days hosting a variety of entertainment, including live music and dance, a seated picnic area and the Festival Market including Art & Crafts Stalls, Garden Centres & Suppliers, Plant Nurseries, Horticultural Societies and Environmental Groups. One of Ireland’s best known gardening experts, Gerry Daly will give a talk at 3pm on Sat and world-renowned plantswoman, Helen Dillon will give a talk at 3pm on Sunday. Sunday is also 'Family Day', with children's entertainment, face painting, puppet and magic shows and guided walks of the Rose Garden.

Admission to the Festival including car parking is free of charge. All are welcome!
